The abduction of Caramen T.

Last Will
September 16th, 2018

A day before the operation, my brother asked me if I had made a "Last Will" already.

The operation was a "High Risk" surgery and I could die in that surgery.

I told my brother that I did indeed made already long ago a "Last Will" and that everything was taking care off in case something would happen to me.

"But you made your "Last Will" in Thailand with a Thai lawyer and your money is in Belgium."
"That will be very difficult to be honoured if you die", my brother said.
"It would be better to write a "Last Will" in Belgium and give everything to your daughter if you die."
"You write your "Last Will" on a paper, dated and signed, and I can give it to a Notary if you die."
"Think of your daughter, she has only you", my brother said.
"She will need money to live and who is going to give her that if you are not here any more?", my brother continued.

My brother took a piece of paper and a pen and "asked" me to write a summary of my assets and my "Last Will".

In order to keep my brother "happy", I wrote something on that piece of paper.

Knowing that it would never be accepted if anything would happen to me.

I wrote a mail to my lawyer in Thailand, Isaan Lawyers, asking if he could change my "Last Will".

But that was not possible in such a short time and he was convinced that nobody would/could dispute the original will.

OK, we have no time to modify the Will for tomorrow.
Also, to be valid, modifications must be signed according to law.
Anyway, I don't think anyone would contest your Will.
Good luck tomorrow.
Regards,
